22nd Annual Louisiana Swamp Thing & Crawfish Festival

Over 7,000 pounds of free, large, boiled crawfish are on the menu at this amazing Austin event! Louisiana lovers gather together at this festival for two stages featuring 10 Louisiana bands playing all types of music from Funk, Brass, Zydeco, Cajun to the Blues. Vendors are on hand selling all types of dishes from Jambalaya to alligator. The festival also includes several activities for kids including bounce houses and slides, face painters, and more. After you’ve filled up on delicious food, enjoy shopping at between 15 to 30 arts and crafts booths featuring locally made products. Tickets are $20 per person, kids 8 and under are free.
Family Adventure at Crosswalk Church

Youth Fishing Derby

Kids ages 3 to 12 years old are invited to the Youth Fishing Derby at Bright Lake in Old Settlers Park. The event is free but pre-registration is strongly encouraged and participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and checked in before fishing. Participants will need to provide all of their own equipment, including bait, and only one pole per child will be allowed. Bright Lake is home to bass, catfish and sunfish, so prepare accordingly.

Sertoma’s Red Poppy Bike Ride

Enjoy a spring bike ride on beautiful country roads though picturesque Williamson County at the 12th Annual Red Poppy Ride. Proceeds from the ride benefit the SERTOMA scholarship program for Georgetown ISD, the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center and the City of Georgetown Bicycle Patrol Unit. Multiple length routes of approximately 14 (Family Circle), 27, 40, 50, 63, and 100 miles will start and finish at the Georgetown High School Annex. The ride will start at 8AM with no riders leaving after 9AM. Course closes at 4PM.

All ages are invited to get dirty in the Muddy Miler Family Adventure presented by the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department. The Muddy Miler is a themed adventure run offering the entire family more obstacles, more mud and more fun than your average run event. Although the event is free, participants are asked to pre-register for this event. Pre-registered participants also receive additional event information up until event day. WARNING: You will get muddy from head to toe if you want to conquer the Muddy Miler!

Celebrate mothers at this free family event presented by the City of Round Rock, Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, the Williamson County Hispanic Heritage Committee, and Univision 62 Austin. Event-goers will enjoy a performance by Joe McDermott, a popular children’s entertainer, as well as other performers like the Hopewell Middle School mariachi group, Copperfield Elementary Ballet Folklorico, Monsoon Dance, the Bluebonnet Elementary School Choir, the Isaac Sisters and Round Rock Ballet Folklorico. Other activities include arts and crafts for kids, a chance to take pictures with mom, and free carnations for mothers.

The City of Round Rock presents Yoga on the Plaza, a free yoga class for all levels, at 8AM held on the second Saturday of every month at Prete Main Street Plaza. Bring a towel or mat and a bottle of water and get ready to stretch! Arrive a little early to give yourself time to setup. The class lasts approximately 45 minutes.
