Whether your current resume isn’t getting results or you just need a fresh pair of eyes to give you feedback on style, stop by the Round Rock Public Library to have a one-on-one consultation and resume review. The Reference Desk will be open from 4PM to 5PM and a librarian will devote 10 to 15 minutes to reviewing your document, sharing impressions, and suggesting ways to help your resume stand out. Please bring a copy of your resume and copies of job postings for which you are currently applying. If you would prefer an after-work time slot, call 512-218-7000 to make an appointment between 5PM and 6PM, any Tuesday in September.

Come and see this new play for children ages 2 to 5 and their parents and teachers. This interactive play is the story of Jamie, who usually loves to take a bath and play in the bubbles. Suddenly, on the night before the first day of pre-school, Jamie refuses to get into the tub. But why? Come find out in this very funny and heartwarming play presented by Pollyanna Theatre’s ensemble of professional actors.
Family Campout & National Hunting & Fishing Day
Old Settlers Park, Round Rock

Join us for the annual Family Campout and National Hunting and Fishing Day, and come spend the Family Campout night in Old Settlers Park! You’ll pop your tent around the Lakeview Pavilion, eat a hamburger dinner, have fun, play games, sit around the campfire eating s’mores and then off to sleep under the stars. Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy breakfast, and then check out the National Hunting and Fishing Day activities. Registration fee includes two meals (hamburger dinner on Friday provided by Hat Creek Burger and breakfast on Saturday), instructional how-to sessions, use of demonstration equipment and a t-shirt for each paid participant.
Battle of the Badges Charity Basketball Game

Join us for the 4th annual Battle of the Badges, Round Rock Police Department vs. Round Rock Fire Department charity basketball game benefiting Round Rock Operation Blue Santa. Admission is $5 or a new toy donation. Doors open at 6:30PM with tip-off at 7PM. Concessions and t-shirts will be available for purchase.
36th Annual Pecan Street Festival

The Pecan Street Festival is a free two-day arts festival that is one of the largest, and longest-running, arts/crafts and music festivals in the nation presented by The Pecan Street Association. The festival attracts hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums from metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone to repurposed materials of all kinds. More than 50 of Austin’s top musical acts perform on three stages while thirty food vendors will be located throughout the festival. Kid-friendly activities include rides, a petting zoo, face-painting, interactive workshops, street magicians and more.
Round Rock Chalk Walk and Art Festival

Round Rock Chalk Walk is Round Rock Arts version of an Italian street painting festival. Artists are free to create, with chalk pastels, a picture on the pavement. Drawings are created in full view of the public, who are encouraged to interact with the artists as their amazing talents create beautiful “murals” before their audience’s eyes. There are two music and performing stages, one focused on adults and the other for children. Entertainment includes live music, art vendors, food, free activities for kids, street performers, trick dogs, jugglers, hula hoopers, community art experiences, interactive drumming, community partners, business vendors and much more!
TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour

For the first time ever monster trucks and professional bull riders will invade Dell Diamond as part of the TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour! The unique buckin’ and truckin’ extravaganza will include 10,000 pound car-crushing giants such as Bigfoot, Skully, X-MAXX, Old Skool, Tuff Guy, Heavy Medal, and more! Some of the nation’s top bull riders competing in the LJ Jenkins Bull Riding Tour will be there.

Neighborhoods across the City of Round Rock are invited to join forces with thousands of other communities across the state of Texas for the 33rd annual National Night Out against crime. During National Night Out, families, friends and neighbors form block parties in their neighborhoods to get to know each other and help reduce crime. Officers will visit numerous neighborhood gatherings to meet and greet, provide information and bring awareness to effective crime prevention strategies. Register your neighborhood event if you’d like a visit from police, fire, or emergency medical personnel.
