Join our Youth Guild for the ultimate fairy tale musical ever! James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim have combined their efforts in the adaptation of one of Sondheim’s most popular works designed especially for young performers. Enjoy this fun show with all of your favorite characters including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Prince Charming and more. The score of Into the Woods, Jr. has been adapted for young performers and is a fun way to examine our standard fairy tales.

The City of Round Rock is proud to present Movies in the Park, two summer nights of great live music paired with family-friendly movies. Bring your folding chairs, coolers and the entire family for free music and movie fun. Svante’s Stuffed Burger food truck and the sunset concerts will begin at 7PM each evening. The movie will immediately follow (around 8:30PM or right after sunset).

Round Rock’s 13th Annual 5K for Clay is scheduled to honor Clay Madsen and the Clay Madsen Recreation Center on Saturday, August 13 at 7:30AM. The Clay Madsen Recreation Center strives to be a safe place where children and adults can learn leadership and sportsmanship qualities. Register online at www.roundrockrecreation.com or on www.active.com or in person at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center or at the Parks and Rec office. The run/walk takes place on a looped course that starts and finishes at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, utilizing the Greater Lake Creek Trail.

Kutz4Kidz is helping the Round Rock community get ready for a new school year at their 2016 Kutz 4 Kidz Back to School Event. The day-long event is a charity project aimed at providing free haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies for underprivileged children in our community. Students who attend RRISD will receive a free haircut and free school supplies, free food and free wellness checks while supplies last. The event is free and will include live entertainment, a car show, vendors and information about community services.
