Our charity, the RJF Team, and friends were able to volunteer and give at one of our favorite places, Community First! Village (by Mobile Loaves & Fishes) in October serving the formerly homeless. This community is beyond amazing, which is why visitors from around the nation are coming to see how they do it!
It's a true honor to serve and witness how this community makes a difference. It all starts with loving your neighbor!
What is Community First! Village?
Community First! Village is a 51-acre master-planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness."
"Mobile Loaves & Fishes is a social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless since 1998. Founded in Austin, Texas, the organization serves its homeless neighbors through three core programs: Truck Ministry, Community First! Village, and Community Works.
About The Cares Alliance
Founded in 2016 by Robert & Michelle Fischer, The Cares Alliance began as RJF Team Cares and provided financial donations to charities, missions, and individuals, while bringing awareness to the needs of those individuals and organizations. The mission was to be a force of good that highlighted financial needs and provided safe, secure opportunities to support those needs within the community.
The Cares Alliance was then joined by other organizations and businesses who shared this same vision. The evolution of The Cares Alliance Board was created with volunteer support, donations and partners devoted to the mission. From the beginning, Luke & Mary Hawthorne with Emerald Lawns stepped up as a key partner and helped to substantially increase the direction and donations awarded to charity recipients.
It's a privilege to walk alongside the award recipients from The Cares Alliance. With your help, we will continue to support local non-profits, deserving families, churches and youth programs, future-building schools and community initiatives.
