New Manufacturing Plant Coming to Hutto

A major California manufacturer is expanding into Texas, and a groundbreaking for the new facility is planned for later this month. Advanced door machinery company Kval is building a new site at Hutto's Innovation Business Park, located at 1591 Innovation Blvd., according to a release from the city.

A groundbreaking for the facility will take place Aug. 26 at 10 a.m., and the release states guests may enter the site through a temporary access road on the east side of Innovation Boulevard.

The new 52,000-square-foot facility represents Kval's first expansion outside of California, and it will significantly improve the company's ability to service its growing business in Texas and beyond, the release states. As the latest addition to Innovation Business Park, Kval will bring more than 80 jobs to the city's business hub, according to the release.
