There are some great community events happening in and around Round Rock to usher in the Fall season and provide fun for the whole family.
WoMen Fore! Hope Golf Tournament
Date: September 20, 2015 Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The 9th annual Women Fore! Hope Golf Tournament will be held this month to benefit Hope Alliance, Williamson County’s only domestic and sexual violence resource center and emergency shelter. Tournament check-in begins at 7:30 am followed by a continental breakfast and access to the driving range. Shotgun start is at 9:00 am. Raffle tickets can be purchased for your chance to win $2,500 at the golf ball drop! Don’t forget to get your tickets for the “Safe at Home” dinner hosted by Ruth and Nolan Ryan on Saturday, September 19, 2015. The “Safe at Home” dinner will include amazing live and silent auctions, survivor stories, free wine and beer and of course, great company.
Fall Fair at Palm Valley Lutheran Church

35th Annual Pecan Street Festival

The Pecan Street Festival is a free two-day arts festival that is one of the largest, and longest-running, arts/crafts and music festivals in the nation presented by The Pecan Street Association. The festival, held twice yearly in downtown Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District, attracts hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums. More than 50 of Austin’s top musical acts, from up-and-comers to renowned veterans, perform on three stages. Thirty food vendors located throughout the festival offer both indulgent and healthy options from crepes, funnel cakes and regional cuisine, to smoothies and fresh squeezed lemonade. Kid-friendly activities include rides, a petting zoo, face-painting, interactive workshops, street magicians and more.
Round Rock Chalk Walk and Art Festival

Round Rock Chalk Walk is Round Rock Arts version of an Italian street painting festival. Artists are free to create, with chalk pastels, a picture on the pavement. Drawings are created in full view of the public, who are encouraged to interact with the artists as they use their amazing talents to create beautiful “murals” before their audience’s eyes. There are two music and performing stages, one focused on adults and the other on children and youth. Entertainment includes live music, art vendors, food, free activities for kids, street performers, trick dogs, jugglers, hula hoopers, community art experiences, interactive drumming, community partners, business vendors and much more!
1st Annual Oktoberfest at Round Rock’s Only Craft Brewery

The Bluebonnet Beer Company, the one and only craft brewery in Round Rock, is hosting their 1st Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday October 4, 2015. Corner Store Country 5k Run

The Corner Store Country Run is a farm-themed 5K with a little something for everyone, from serious runners to leisurely strollers, from lone rangers to family herds. Folks are encouraged to dress in their finest country duds and stick around afterwards for what folks are calling the “best post-race ever”, a country fair with free sponsored swag, live music, food, carnival games, face painting and two free beer tickets for adults. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters and local children’s charities.
