Brushy Creek travels a winding sixty-nine miles to the mouth of the San Gabriel River. Along its way, a rather large expanse of land makes up what is known as The Brushy Creek Neighborhood. This piece of land borders the creek it is named for, and along the stretch of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail, along Sam Bass Road, the stream flows surrounded by a vast brushy forest of trees breathtakingly draped with wild grapevines. The Brushy Creek Neighborhood stretches from western Round Rock to Cedar Park, and if you continue traveling on Sam Bass Road, beside the waters of Brushy Creek, you will see the landscape change to the plentiful cedar trees that give Cedar Park its name. The Brushy Creek Neighborhood is made up of multiple smaller subdivisions, each forming its own identity. Among these are Brushy Creek North, Brushy Creek South, Corners of Brushy Creek, Meadows of Brushy Creek, Villages of Brushy Creek, and Woods of Brushy Creek.
Brushy Creek encompasses a considerable amount of land and is split into various unique developments, each having a singular personality and construction style. The neighborhood began development in the late 1970s and initially lasted until the mid-1980s, but newer additions came in the 2000s. Whether you prefer the peace and quiet of open fields and ranch-style homes, or the cultivated amalgamation of modern design, or quaint German-style cottages, Brushy Creek is full of possibility.
