The Cross Creek Neighborhood
Cedar Park, Texas
When you find yourself in a retro Texas gem of a neighborhood, sit back, and take note. Cross Creek is friendly and familiar, like timeless recipes you long for every Thanksgiving. Woodsy and hidden, with old-fashioned touches like mailboxes right in the front yard, Cross Creek has a feeling of wild enchantment. Homes are not boxed in close together but rather have room to breathe, and many residents make use of native plants and shrubs in their landscaping. Peaceful and serene, Cross Creek and its close-knit family and friends are ready to welcome you home to this charming community.
The Homes of Cross Creek
Construction on Cross Creek began in 1974 and continued until the early 2000s, making this beloved community a perfect example of what happens when multiple architectural styles combine to create charm and grace. Facings of limestone, rock, fieldstone, brick, and plank are complemented nicely by native plants and trees, including a variety of oaks. Square footage ranges from the 2,000s to just under 4,000, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms up to five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Restaurants, Arts & Entertainment
Sixteen miles from the center of Austin, Texas, lies the town of Cedar Park, and at its heart is a four-hundred-year-old tree named Heritage Oak, which stands fifty-seven feet tall and has an impressive eighty-foot spread. Every year, this magnificent tree is decorated with thirty thousand lights for December. Those who call Cedar Park home are fortunate to live in a community that is filled with possibility. Restaurants, artistic adventures, and an abundance of delicious dining choices abound, and all can be found at the 1890 Ranch. Take a ride on a steam train, or cheer your favorite hockey team at a Texas Stars home game, and then when you’re done, enjoy the rest of your evening at the 1431 Café or Blue Corn Harvest.
