Geri, a native of Austin, Texas, has witnessed the transformation of the Central Texas area firsthand over the past fifty years. Growing up, her weekends were spent exploring the evolving landscape of Austin's housing market, from open houses to new developments in various stages of construction. This early exposure to the dynamic world of real estate sparked her passion for floor plans and home design, a passion that was further nurtured by annual tours of the prestigious Austin Parade of Homes.
After a successful career spanning nearly three decades in Human Resources, serving in various capacities within State of Texas and Higher Education agencies, Geri sought a new challenge. Her innate curiosity and love for house hunting led her to pursue a career in real estate. Geri completed her real estate education at Austin Community College while working full-time, and upon obtaining her certification and license, she joined the Robert J Fischer Team, drawn by their integrity, commitment, and servant-leadership.
Now a dedicated Buyer Specialist, Geri enjoys a fulfilling work-life balance, enabling her to indulge her passion for meeting and serving people daily. Her extensive background in Human Resources has endowed her with exceptional people skills and the ability to listen attentively, skills she employs to understand not just the expressed but also the subtle needs of her clients as she helps them find their dream properties.
Outside of her professional life, Geri is deeply involved in her community and enjoys live music, spending time with family and friends over dinner, and engaging in lively conversations and games. Residing in Pflugerville with her husband, Wayde, and their son, Jackson, she is a regular at her son's Pony League baseball games. A lifelong cat lover, Geri volunteers at the Shadow Cats Sanctuary in Round Rock, Texas, and enjoys exploring new cultures, cuisines, and experiences.
